Mr PRS Chetan is currently the group director for industry leaders in AV Lakshmi audio visuals inc., & the co-founder of fledging Events India Ic with their head quarters at Bangalore and branches at Chennai, Hyderabad & a tech knowledge partner at Singapore Widely travelled with a deep understanding & expertise in event management, pro audio & video, broadcast media & logistics management, Mr Chetan has worked with leading MNC’s like Microsoft, Infosys, Wipro, IBM and HP. He has been instrumental in helping them organise major conferences, product launches, seminars, technical trainings etc.

An post graduate in marketing from Bangalore, in the last one decade he has specialised in areas like professional sound & light, projection systems, and in organising major national and international conferences, event management solutions. He is also a renowned speaker on subjects like pro AV, marketing & HR and is also a member of the Lions club.

MR Chetan under his leadership set the ball rolling with great commitment, focused customer orientation & total customer satisfaction. He turned a traditional family run business founded by his mentor T.V. Varadarajan in the late 80’s to a technology company with over 108 professionals employed in a modern corporate office in Bangalore. Startup:

The key to success is in believing in oneself, proper assessment of one’s strength & weaknesses, positive mental attitude and determination. He says visualise success & move from vision to mission and over and above all these, position your product or service based on market needs and never loose your enthusiasm.

Financial discipline:

It is very critical and important. One needs to have patience and never ever divert resources generated from buisness to any personal or extravagant spending. For the first few years you should also draw a salary like any other employee in your company. Role models in life One man whom I can never forget in my life for his simple living and high thinking is Dr A J P Abdul Kalam. He is my role model. As far s my business is concerned it’s the middle class’s Mahatma Dr Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, he has redrawn the Indian business map and helped our own Silicon valley Bangalore to attain this status it has today.

Marketing:

One succeeds first in his mind and then in the real marketplace. Visualize and dream success, have determination, be focused, remember winners never quit, quitters never win and the first step towards success is identifying your own leadership skills.

Other interests:

I have adopted a poor school in the periphery of Bangalore. We have provided infrastructure like tables, chairs, sports kits, toilet blocks and books, uniforms annually. And apart from these I am also involved in other social activities like voluntary blood donation, health/eye checkups for the needy and visit various government schools and educate children on lifeskills and importance of being a responsible citizen, at the end of the day the children are our country’s future.

Your organisation’s future plans?

We are the market leaders since the last one decade, our future plans are of course to retain the leadership by providing cutting edge technology products in AV and to expand the organisation by recruiting over 25 successful professionals from the industry and to increase our inventory by adding 50% more equipments.

Technology upgradation:

Almost every day, but on a normal planning cycle we upgrade our equipments every 3 months to stay with the developments abroad and to stay in tune with the global standards. A client will get the same experience he has in US or UK, when he uses our services in India and in some cases even better.

Team work:

We can definitely be proud of our HR initiatives like team & self assessments, life skills training for the staff and for their families, immediate rewards for all good work done, weekly/monthly meetings, good system & policies at place for all most all activities. Infact, we have a company manual to follow and we lead by example and work with them as a team.

Events:

On an average we handle around 18 events across the country on a given day with diverge locations like Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Kolkatta and we have abundant men & material to support such a large scale operations. On some special busy days we have handled over 45 events in a day.

Any diversification plans?

Yes, in a limited way, we are opening a “state of the art” video conferencing studio with all modern facilities in the heart of the city and we have already started leasing/longterm hiring of copiers at very affordable rates with a high degree of success.

Which are the brands of equipment you buy?

We buy the best and latest from Epson, Toshibha, Infocus, Bose, Extron, Das, Dynocord, Denon, SGM, Hitachi, Sony, etc, Almost all the best brands available in the global market.
